Renbrook School is a co-ed private day school serving students in Preschool - Grade 8 in West Hartford, CT.
On over 75-acres atop Avon Mountain, Renbrook students are inspired every day to develop the character, knowledge, and creativity to lead in an increasingly global and inclusive world.
From Preschool to Grade 8, children engage in joyful, experiential learning that prepares them for success at secondary school and beyond.
Early Childhood education is a three-year experience designed to meet the needs and developmental stages of Renbrook’s youngest learners - Preschool, Junior Kindergarten, and Kindergarten. It is here, where we build the foundation for children to become life-long learners through a creative, play-based approach.
Elementary School at Renbrook is a community of learners in Grades 1-4. Grade level teachers in the Lower School develop positive and sincere relationships with their students and families. Students work together learning new ideas and building skills, reading for pleasure and meaning, writing with purpose and to entertain, debating with passion, questioning with curiosity, and applying new knowledge in thoughtful ways.

Comprised of students in Grades 5-8, our middle school experience provides a rigorous and enriched program of academic excellence through our challenging and ever-evolving curriculum. As students move from childhood into adolescence, they gain countless opportunities for academic and social-emotional growth. In addition to the core subjects, students learn a foreign language, participate in a variety of electives, and engage in competitive athletics.
Students and teachers enjoy and explore their natural surroundings on our 75-acre campus and on trips further afield. Renbrook adults and children are active in the greater Hartford community whether through community service, by participating in the annual MATHCOUNTS competition, or by participating in local service through the Trustee Scholar Program.
